Hutch is looking for a super-talented and adaptable generalist artist to join us in Hutch’s London studio. The role has an emphasis on strong 3D and texturing skills. The successful candidate will be highly skilled across a broad range of digital art skills, ideally, drawing on a rich experience based in console and mobile gaming.
Great 3D skills: Hard surface modelling, vehicles, environment objects and landscape.
Texturing skills with an ability to create great textures without the use of photo source
Tidy, clean and organised work
An ability to be aesthetically adaptable and change between a range styles according to the needs of the product.
Lighting: A good understanding of the principles and experience either in-game or pre-rendered.
Surfaces shaders: Can demonstrate good use of native shaders.
An understanding of authoring content for real-time rendering.
To be proficient with the necessary software and tools to perform the role
This role can, to some extent, be adapt to the strengths of the candidate, depending on how the skills dovetail with the existing team.
So we’ll be looking for a selection of about HALF the following…
Marketing Art: Creation of high definition marketing artworks for print and screen. Contributing to the marketing pipeline. Collaborating with the marketing, analytics team and creative stakeholders to shape effective marketing assets.
Pre-visualisation: Preliminary and exploratory work including use of illustrations and basic 3D to explore composition.
Animatics: Have a reasonable grasp of animation to produce animatics and animated previz.
Game style setting: Work with the team, marketing and creative stake holders to help establish the right style and quality for the product’s audience.
